Be Part of the Canada Day Parade and/or the Craft Fair!
Following our annual tradition, the Sechelt Downtown Business Association is once again sponsoring and organizing the popular Sechelt Canada Day event. This includes a parade down Cowrie Street, a craft fair in Hackett Park, live music, tasty food, and a variety of activities for all ages.
Plans are well under way and we hope you’ll want to be involved this year. The Canada Day celebrations will take place on Friday, July 1, 2016. The theme of this year’s celebration is Way To Go, The Big 3-0 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the District of Sechelt.
Here’s what you need to know to participate. (Scroll down for additional information below the photograph.)
Hackett Park Craft Fair
Again this year, the craft vendors and the main music stage will be located on the upper field of Hackett Park. Below, you’ll find maps of Hackett Park field with the booth locations indicated. All booths are a minimum of 10 feet by 10 feet, and will have two open sides available. We welcome crafters, artisans, and display/promotional booths.
In your application, please indicate your preferred locations. We will do our best to place you where you want to be, but there are no guarantees. Note that booths numbered 51 to 68 will only be used if all the booths numbered 48 and lower are fully reserved.
If you’re a food vendor, please read Information for Food Vendors.
Please complete the relevant form below and return it to the SDBA office by Friday, May 27, to be eligible for the best Early Bird Discount. (Fees increase as we get closer to Canada Day.)
All Hackett Park craft and food booths will be featured in pre-event print advertising, provided we have your paid application by Friday, June 10.
The parade is a popular element of the days festivities. Coast TV provides commentary on each float, based on information you provide in the application, and films the event. This is a fun way to feature your organization or group.
