Sechelt Visitor Information Centre
Come on in to the Sechelt Visitor Centre! Our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff are waiting to assist you with your inquiries regarding our vibrant town and its surrounding communities. We offer a wide range of information for visitors, newcomers and locals, such as local accommodations, including campgrounds, indoor and outdoor recreation activities, festivals, performances, shopping, investment and business opportunities and more. We have bus schedules, ferry schedules, and we can help you find out about our local float plane service. Our staff pride themselves on being expert "networkers." If we don't know the answer to one of your questions, we will definitely know how to find it.
Located in the Seaside Centre, a beautiful timber frame building, our facility is a welcoming place to come and browse through our many brochures, use one of our two public computers or use our WiFi. We have a phone for you to use to make those last minute arrangements, and clean public washrooms. We carry cards, postcards, maps, books of local interest and a small selection of locally themed products, and we sell bus tickets and event tickets.
If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, we have everything you need to know as we share our space with the Sunshine Coast Volunteer Centre.
With over 13,000 visitors per year, membership in our Visitor Centre is one way to gain exposure for your business, be it accommodation, recreation, a service or retail. Members' businesses are listed in our "in-house" brochures and on our website. Members also have the privilege of displaying their brochures in our racks. An added bonus for our artist members is the chance to display their work on our walls. Membership is $85.00 year.
The Sechelt Visitor Centre is funded by the District of Sechelt, Tourism B.C. and our membership base. It is operated by Sunshine Coast Community Services Society, a non-profit organization that has been in the business of working with and for the Sunshine Coast community for nearly 40 years.
